102 GREENE ST.

Workspace11 restored the landmarked 14-foot cast-iron door at 102 Greene Street, originally built by artist William Tarr in the 1960s–70s.

The restoration involved constructing a new structural frame within the door, integrating a center-hung pivot while preserving Tarr’s distinctive welded patterns and weathered finish. Additionally, Workspace11 fabricated an interior art wall composed of smaller cast-iron panels originally designed by Tarr, honoring the building’s artistic heritage.
